Untitled (screen) by Mark Hamilton is reminiscent of rebellious slogans, which scrawled across walls call for resistance. And yet it is written backwards, as though seen through a mirror, and, as such, could also be seen as a mysterious coded message. Meanwhile, the choice of typography, Helvetica, a recognisably modern font, developed in the 1950s, draws attention to the aesthetic and lyrical aspects of the work.

Mark Hamilton developed Untitled (screen) especially for the library. The template is an eps file – a digital document. This eps file can be produced in a variety of materials (printed letters or mural painting) and is customizable to the specific dimensions of any location.
